1 AGUA CALIENTE NOTES x s More than fifty sportsmen arrived from Del Monte Sunday to witness the introduction of steeplechasing. Marine has rounded to best form in the opinion of dockers. He galloped three-quarters Sunday in 1:14 to prove his fitness. Jack Oakie, film comedian, was among the club house guests today. W. Hartman, owner of the Oak Tree Stable, has leased the services of jockey H. Henson from A. Pecklo. Jockey J. Longden will leave shortly for a vacation with relatives in Canada. Jockey J. Cowley, who rode Bafflorette to victory in the first race Friday was suspended for three days by the starter for disobedience at the post. Joe Walter, entry clerk at Agua Caliente, served as the third judge Friday, due to Judge Schillings transfer to the stewards stand. Bon Homme, one of the most successful of the California sires, produced winners of three of the first four races Thursday. Good Thoughts, Evelena and Good and Hot were his get to win. John B. McKee, trainer of Naishapur, Agua Caliente Derby winner, and of Jim Dandy, is a visitor. He contemplates returning to Tanforan, where his horses are stabled, the latter part of this week. Judge Francis A. Nelson, after being absent from the stewards pagoda for two days due to an injured leg, was back on the joh :n Tuesday afternoon.
