SIR LINDSAY TO CARRY 163 Is Top Weight of Americans in Grand National Steeplechase. Highest Impost, 175 Pounds, Assigned to Gregalach for Aintree Classic to Be Contested in March. Svecial Cablegram CONDON, England, Jan. 27. Sir Lindsay, the jumper owned by the American sportsman, J. H. Whitney, has been assigned 163 pounds for the Grand National Steeplechase, which will be run over the Aintree course, Liverpool, March 18. This is top weight for an American-owned candidate for the worlds greatest cross-country event. Sir Lindsay last year was handicapped at 160 pounds, and was one of the many victims in the running. He fell, as did Whitneys Easter Hero, which, with 175 pounds, was top weight of the entire handicap.
