The latter, a factor all the way, tired at the end. SHASTA CHARM had no mishaps. F. E. COMPTON tired after disposing of THUNDER NYMPH. MUSKETEER finished fast. NORMA JEAN raced well. THUNDER NYMPH showed speed for half a mile. DODIE LEIGHTON had no excuses. LITTLE GYP raced well. SHASTA PRUNE was outrun, fell after the finish and died of a ruptured blood vessel.
