FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES . 9 A large number of the leading stables here have patronized the stakes to be run during the coming spring meeting at Churchill Downs, according to William H. Shelley, who is accepting entries for the Downs features here. The stakes, headed by the 0,000 added Kentucky Derby, will close February 3. Others are the Kentucky Oaks, for three-year-old fillies; Clark Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, and the Bashford Manor Stakes, for two-year-olds.
