HUON JOY, fencing well in the early stages, took a clear lead when FAIR BOB and MUSKOGEE ran out at the fifth jump, but seemed to tire slightly during the last turn of the field and, although in hand at the end, appeared to have little left. OWLET fenced fairly well, made a game bid after clearing the last jump and might have been closer had he not been taken in hand before the finish. USEFUL made a bad landing at the twelfth fence, tossing her rider, but the jockey clung to the reins and remounting the animal while in motion, remained in front of MUSKOGEE. The latter was carried off the course by FAIR BOB at the fifth jump, was then taken back and cleared the obstable and, although making several bobbles thereafter, managed to finish.
