WORKMEN GUESTS OF WIDENER Artisans Who Helped to Reconstruct Hialeah Park Honored "by Special Day Widener s Invitation. MIAMI, Fla., Feb. 1 Twelve hundred men who played a part in the ,500,000 reconstruction program which has made Hialeah Park a shrine of architectural and landscaping beauty, will be guests of the Miami Jockey Club upon invitation of Joseph E. Widener, chairman of the board, Friday, February 5. Mr. Widener has set aside this date as "Labor Day," and will honor the workmen and other employees in appreciation of their contribution to the construction of the new Hialeah Park, which he planned and brought to completion in less than six months. Each employee received grandstand tickets for himself and a companion. They will be asked to report to the respective superintendents under whom they worked at the north or grandstand entrance for identification. Following is the invitation issued by Mr. Widener this afternoon: "The Hialeah Park management feels that the hundreds of employees who assisted in creating the practical and beautiful results achieved at Hialeah Park, should share in the enjoyment of the same. Therefore, Friday, February 5, has been set aside as Labor Day, and an invitation is extended to everyone who contributed his or her ability to be our complimentary guests on that day.
