LEXINGTON TURF NOTES l . Horace N. Davis has sent in from his Blue Grass Heights farm to the Kentucky Association track to be trained by Hayward Oots, the three-year-olds Mannerism and Abes Pal, and the following two-year-olds: Brown filly, by Axenstein Eau de Nil; chestnut filly by Bubbling Over Minawand; bay filly, by Terry Railon; bay filly, by Rire aux Larmes Zeled; bay gelding by Rire aux Larmes Resistance; chestnut colt, by Terry Bolfie. Ross Long, manager of Charles T. Fishers Dixiana, has returned from Chicago, where he purchased a four-stall Bahr starting gate, at which trainer Clyde Van Dusen will school the horses he is preparing at Dixiana for racing on Kentucky and Illinois tracks this season. J. O. Keene lost the mare Barenka at Keeneland Stud Sunday after she had foaled a bay filly by Vito. The foal was given to a foster mother. Jeanne Bowdre foaled a chestnut colt by 1 Epinard at Keeneland last week, and Luci-ena, another of the Keeneland mares, has a bay colt by Vito. Darkest Hour, one of the Keeneland string, has been gelded. William Westerfield, trainer for J. E. Mahon, has the three-year-olds Memphis Lass, Won Way and Sun Bonny and the following two-year-olds in his string at the Kentucky Association track: Memphis Bill brown gelding, by Mere Play Little Memphis; Sweet Bonny, chestnut filly, by Sun Pal Bonny; Luke Rose, bay colt, by Pagan Pan Rose dOr; Air Flyer, br. f, by Phara-mond U. Air Cushion; One Dime, bay filly by Emissary Little Casino. After the Lexington meeting, they will be raced at Chicago, going first to Aurora. Fred A. Forsythe, secretary of the Thoroughbred Horse Association, has been suffering with influenza the last week. In reporting this morning the arrival at Idle Hour Farm last night of a brown filly by Blue Larkspur Clonaslee, by Orpiment, Olin Gentry stated that it is the best foal of this year by Blue Larkspur. At Col. E. R. Bradleys noted establishment this year there are thus far twelve foals, of which eight are fillies. The third foal by Misstep, a chestnut filly from My Premier, by Sir Martin, arrived last night at Le Mar Stock Farm. A. E. Hundley and Son, Monietta Farm, Danville, Ky., report the arrival of an own-sister to Misstep, by Upset St. Theresa, and say it is the best looking foal the mare has had. Smith G. Baker has returned from Miami,-but Col. R. L. Baker continues to train his own horses at the Kentucky association track. He said today that he very likely will continue in the capacity of trainer. The horses in the string are Perfect Model, Anna Beall, Helen Bond, Ledford, Squall, Peggy i Lehmann, Brush Down and the two-year-. olds Just Fly, bay colt by Justice F. i Fluzey, and Flag Wave, bay filly by Ameri-: can Flag Manicure. Stanley W. Dwinnell, of Minneapolis, Is . the best judges of young horses in America, i here seeking thoroughbreds for riding pur-i poses. , P. H. Jones, well known Cincinnati horse-L man, is a visitor here with a view to buying two or three horses to campaign this year.
