BIG WINNERS FOR TANFORAN Dr. Freeland, Golden Prince, Plucky Play and My Dandy Slated for San Bruno Course. ,SAN BRUNO, Calif., March 15. Quite a number of Americas 00,000 winners will be seen under colors during the spring meeting at Tanforan, which begins Thursday, March 31. Fans everywhere have been impressed by the high caliber of the horses already stabled at the course, or which will soon be on the way. Dr. Freeland, winner of about 40,000, may materially increase his earnings before being put on the cars for Tanforan, as he is eligible to the Agua Caliente Handicap, the winner of which is guaranteed the tidy sum of 0,000. Benny Creech can be depended upon to have the chestnut as fit as possible for that race. Harry Unna has brought the gelding, Golden Prince, from Imperial Beach, where the Coffroth Handicap winner wintered in good shape, and it is likely there is a race or two left in the old fellow. Plucky Play, still younger than either Qf the other great winners, having been foaledl in 1927, has not won quite as much as his rivals. Careful computation shows the earnings of the son of Man o Wars brother, My Play, to have been about 08,000. The five-year-old is in training at Mira Monte Farm. It may be noted that My Dandy, a remarkably consistent performer and "pet" of Tanforan, passed the 00,000 mark by his stakes victories at the San Bruno track last fall.
