— ----1 Robert M. Sweitzer Handicap — • — HOMEWOOD, 111., May 26— The next stake on the Washington Park calendar is the Robert M. Sweitzer Handicap, named in honor of the well known Chicagoan, who is one of the stewards at the Homewood track, and the event to be featured on Saturdays program, will doubtless attract a field of the best of the handicap division. As the distance of the race is one and one-eighth miles, the runners will have ample opportunity to display their stamina, and with Gallant Knight, the early favorite, an absentee, the stake appears to be an open race. Probable starters in the affair include Pittsburgher and Spanish Play, crack three-year-olds of last season, as well as Plucky Play, conqueror of Sun Beau, and Lady Broadcast, Herbert M. Woolfs good mare which has recently been staging a comeback. The stake, for which the ten or more likely starters will do battle, carries a i value of ,000 added, and following is a list of those likely to face the barrier: Horse. Wt. Owner. Trainer.
