Foster was nominated for the Ohio State Derby, which is to be run June 4. The nominations close May 28. Among the late arrivals in four cars at Bainbridge Park were horses belonging to Ed McCuan, William Cain, J. Ft. Carlock, Shandon Farm, Oscar Chaney and E. J. OConnell. E. Neal, J. Mora, W. Kern, J. Among the horses on the schooling list of starter "Buddy" Wingfield are Blazing Crimp, Bubby Boy, Drooping Eye, Easter Boy, Hasola, Justa Hurry, Leon Lass, Master Sweep, Mavro, Magna Mater, Swincourt, Up- sweep, Hilda A., Dazetta, The King and Drury. Dick Dougherty, representing P. Man- cuso, said that Halliard will be laid up several days as a result of an injury he suf- fered in his most recent race. Leo Dandurand, partner of Joseph Cattar- inich, is visiting Bainbridge, and will remain several days before returning to Montreal to get ready for the summer meetings there. Mr. Dandurand is interested with Mr. Cat-tarinich in his various racing interests as well as in hockey, lacrosse, baseball, boxing and wrestling promotion in Montreal. Among the younger riders showing form at Bainbridge are E. Silva and J. Lane. Dan Hickey is handling the latter. Jack Carter, who has the book of jockey T. Reno, injured in the spill of a few days ago, said Reno would resume riding next week. J. Hernandez probably will be out of action for several months, as will W. Carroll. Duke Johnson is getting quite a few mounts for W. Nertney, who lost his appren- ticeship last Monday.
