LE BRUYERE, always close to the pace, came fast on the outside in the stretch and, overtaking LIQUEUR in the closing twenty yards, was going away at the finish. NORTH MILL was a factor from the start and closed gamely on the inside. LIQUEUR opened up a good early lead, then quit badly. OLD HILLSIDE improved his position gradually. OLIVE SABATH and BLACK SQUAW tired in the stretch. DUSKY DAME quit after going half the distance. The others were never dangerous. CAMP BOSS, showing good early speed, overtook the others in the stretch when GAY PAST tired, but bore out near the end. GAY PAST sprinted to the front early and led to the last sixteenth, where he tired. CAYUGA could never reach the leaders. PAUL BUNYAN was outrun. GALA FLIGHT droppd out of it early. PRINCESS CAMELIA raced fairly well and, although not capable of holding the winner, was much the best of the others. PARFAIT gained steadily. PORTERS DREAM tired. The latter, badly outrun for half the distance, came fast and, cutting to the inside of the wi.iner at mid-stretch, raced camely to the end. TIGER FLOWERS moved up fast on the inside near the far turn and outlasted HIGH STORM. The latter tired in the stretch. BOBBY POWERS quit badly after taking a short early lead.
