POLYDORUS AT ARLINGTON Crack Western Sprinter to Start in the Inaugural Handicap. Horse Colony at Mammoth Northwest Side Course Augmented by Consignments From Homewood and the East. ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., June 24. A sharp contest, in which the track record will be in danger, is predicted for the seven furlongs Arlington Inaugural Handicap, following the announcement Friday by Harry Unna that he will start A. Bartelsteins Poly-dorus in the ,000 added event against George D. Wideners Jamestown. Polydorus moved to Arlington Park Thursday, along with five other Bartelstein racers, and arrived in such fine condition trainer Unna believes the Friar Rock colt will give Jamestown all he can handle in Mondays headliner. Polydorus has been assigned 117 pounds by handicapper Joseph McLennan, whereas Jamestown must carry 122 pounds. The last meeting of the two colts was in the 1930 Futurity, which Jamestown won with Polydorus fourth. Chicago racing fans have become very enthusiastic over Polydorus in view of his two sensational victories at Washington Park, where he won two very fast races with ease. Before coming to Chicago, the former W. R. Coe colt was almost invincible at Tanforan, where he captured several races, some of them under high weight. He will be ridden by John Maiben, whereas Linus McAtee is expected from New York to guide Jamestown. These veteran riders have engaged in more than one brilliant duel in their successful careers. Five horses, owned by W. C. and E. W. Reichert, including two Inaugural candidates in My Dandy and Brown Wisdom, reached Arlington yesterday and the former is expected to accept the issue in Mondays feature. Other shipments reaching the north side course were those of F. A. Car-reaud, Walter J. Salmon, Shady Brook Stock Farm Stable, A. L. Jones, J. B. Respess and Audley Farm Stable. The latter sent ten horses to Arlington and will complete the transfer of its large stable Sunday. Pitts-burgher headed the Shady Brook consignment of eight, while Satin Spar was included in the eight horses owned by Jones. Audley Farm Stable has two candidates for the Inaugural Handicap in Gallant Knight and Higher, but trainer Kay Spence hasnt announced which of the two he will start. One of the most important consignments from the East arrived Friday morning in the shape of H. J. Thompsons division of the Edward R. Bradley stable. Eleven horses were included in the shipment as follows: Boilermaker, Bobbing, Bubble Up, Bronze Saint, Bold Lover, Blessed Event, Barn Swallow, Algeria, Bran Muffin, Bonnie Maureen and Boiling Water.
