HAMILTON OPENS TODAY HAMILTON, Ont., June 24. Hamilton Jockey Club officials, on the eve of the opening of the first summer meeting, are optimistic of furnishing the best sport ever seen at the popular mountain city course. Juveniles are found in the feature race of the opening card, styled the Mountain Valley Plate and a representative field of the best two-year-old performers seen in Canada this year will go postward. Handicap performers are brought together in the mile and one-sixteenth of the Salisbury purse and they are a well balanced lot including the recent winners, Uluniu, Scuttle and Banderldg. So the stage is all set for a gala opening tomorrow and the prospects are good for bright sunny weather to make the scene perfect
