t LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES $ -$ The recent rains have kept the Downs in excellent condition and the racing strip is as fast as at any time that racing has been conducted oyer the oval. L. H. Sewell has had Dr. N. E. Southard unsex Prince Dunset, the grey colt by Royal Canopy Useppa, purchased by a Louisville newcomer to the turf, at the dispersal sale of the late Joseph Leiter horses at the Downs in May. Trainer William Woodard will ship the two stake entries, Pierre Pan, a colt by Peter Pan Coventry Girl, by Wrack, and the colt Stinger, by Pennant Wasp, by Sweep, which are owned by his brother, Dr. R. L. Woodard, to Latonia.
