POLITICAL LEADERS VISITORS HOMEWOOD, 111., June 24. Tammany j braves, minus war paint and feathers, will ! transfer activities from the political battle ground to Washington Park Saturday. James F. Curry, leader of the New York organization, will be accompanied by many district leaders, all of whom are personal friends of Colonel Winn. Prominent in the party will be James J. Walker, mayor of Greater New York, and ex-Gov. Alfred E. Smith. A number of visitors will include the wives of New York politicians. Box reservations have been set apart for the Manhattan delegation. In addition to the New Yorkers there will be visitors from other eastern cities, among them Gov. Albert Ritchie of Maryland. The governor, an ardent friend of racing, is in frequent attendance at tracks in his state. He is an eager supporter of the advancement of racing.
