t LATONIA TURF NOTES I s The horses that Jesse Spencer assembled at Lexington since the fire that swept his I racing stable at Lexington last spring and shipped here today were Willa, Banset, Big Shot, Gay Miss, Sweet Pal, Office Girl, Harper, Bickwill and Prince Feather. Danny Stewart brought nine horses here from Chicago. Among them were Bather, High Proof and Biota. Nine horses, the property of the F. L. B. Stable and Edgar Igleheart, arrived from Bainbridge Thursday morning in charge of H. H. Battle. J. J. OMalley, agent of the Audley Farm Stable, arrived from Chicago with nine. The horses will be trained by F. Corley and jockey R. Martin and apprentice J. Kacala accompanied the shipment. OMalley will look after the engagements of the two boys. Raoul Walshs Border Warrant headed the shipment that W. Z. Martin brought from Washington Park. " W. E. Suggs arrived from Bainbridge with J. W. Brackmans Hamburger Jim and Mrs. W. E. Suggs Simple Honors and H. G. Shoemakers Twill, Twilight Girl and Storm Angel. Claude Hunt unloaded thirteen horses, the property of W. F. Knebelkamp. The shipment was headed by the Latonia Derby candidate, Delivered, and the Quick Step nominee, Hoops. Johnny Jones brought in five horses from Washington Park. Before shipping from the Homewood course, he turned over to Bert William C. W. Hays Scotlands Glory and Scotland Beauty and disposed of the two-year-old Danton. El Puma and All Hail, which raced in the interest of R. G. Grayson, arrived from Chicago and Grayson will take up Chipola. The four two-year-olds that Roscoe Goose purchased from E. R. Bradley arrived from Louisville this morning and will join the .Goose string upon its arrival from Chicago. J. P. Sallee received the two-year-old Another Gift and the older Upset Ann, which were sent to him from Tom Piatts farm. Col. E. R. Bradley is coming up from Idle. Hour Farm to witness the opening of the meeting. Jockey L. Fator, one of the Bradley stable riders, goes to Chicago tomorrow night. F. C. McAtees Jessie Dear, which remained at Chicago after others of the Mc-Atee-Serenata string were shipped here, arrived this morning to fill her Clipsetta engagement. The license committee granted trainers licenses to S. J. Hazard, I. B. Fitzgerald, M. Kaufman and A. Dunne, and licensed jockeys R. Martin, W. Carroll and apprentices D. Fowler and M. Goodman. A. "Jack" Baker brought in six horses from Chicago. He will continue to train Squall, Brush Down and Peggy Lehmann for his brother, R. L. Baker, and has A. B. Hancocks Latonia Oaks eligible, Light Eagle, and the two-year-olds Earl Baker and Flash Like.
