PRIMUTE took a short early lead and, showing exceptional gameness when challenged, outlasted RED WHISK in a driving finish, but was cut down during the running and pulled up very lame. RED WHISK was on the outside of the leader throughout and tired in the final drive. POMPONIUS, always close to the pace, weakened in the stretch and was disqualified for interfering with SNAPLOCK in the early stages. The latter was cut off twice in the early stages. TRACE CALL was blocked soon after the start. FANFERN met early interference. PARTING SHOT fell after meeting interference from RED WHISK in the early racing. Scratched 71560JBronze Saint, 106.
