CRETES SATURDAY FEATURES CRETE, 111., Sept. 28. The feature events on each of the two remaining Saturdays of the Lincoln Fields meeting will consist of handicaps of ,500 value each. On next Saturday, the main attraction will be the Steger Handicap, for all ages, with the mile distance prevailing, while on the final Saturday of the season the Marquette Handicap, for three-year-olds and over, over the route of one and one-sixteenth miles, will head the program. Entries for the Steger will close Thursday, September 29, with weights and declarations due the following day. The Marquette will close for nominations on Thursday, October 6, and Friday, October 7. Racing secretary William H. Shelley will announce the weights.
