j LINCOLN FIELDS NOTES j s -s "Bib. Falk,. manager of the Toledo Baseball Club, and Willie Kamm, star third baseman of the Cleveland Indians and former White Sox player, were visitors at Lincoln Fields Wednesday. Lady General came out of her race Tuesday with a slightly filled ankle and was excused from the fourth race Wednesday, but will not be permitted to start for three flays. Nituma, S. S. Combs good juvenile filly, is back in training and, barring mishap, will be ready for late fall campaigning. She breezed a slow three-eighths here Wednesday. Herbert Bagur, New Orleans boy riding here, was the leading apprentice at the recent Winnipeg meetings. He can scale as light as 99 pounds and is under contract to E. F. Ogden. Injuries suffered by George South while astride Chum, forced him to cancel his mounts Wednesday. Souths left leg was cut and bruised when Chum struck the rail. Stall application blanks for both the Jefferson Park and: Fair Grounds tracks, New Orleans, will be available to horsemen here next week. Daniel E. OSullivan, resident manager of Churchill Downs, left for his home in Louisville. With a string of ten head, A. A. Baroni got away Tuesday for Tanforan. He was accompanied by jockey. W. D. Wricht.
