LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS H. Mills last week moved back into the lead of American jockeys, a position he held alternately with J. Gilbert earlier in the year before Silvio Coucci became such a strong factor. Coucci -in recent weeks has "been unable to keep up the high rate of winners which landed him in front, while Mills has ridden with marked success, and the latter regained the lead last week by riding five winners to Couccis three. J. Gilbert and G. Elston held on to third and fourth places by reasonably safe margins. B. Hanford made another slight gainr with four winners, and T. P. Martin and R. Workman rode five each.
