LUNA MICA, away forwardly and kept close to the leaders, came around the outside when moving to tho front, impeded WELL BUILT and PARLANCE when swerving to the inside and was disqualified for a stretch foul. WELL BUILT improved her position stoutly, entered contention with a rush and met with interference at the final eighth-pole, then recovered and finished stoutly. PARLANCE, in the thick of contention from tho start, met with interference and continued gamely to the end. DARKLING worked her way up on the inside and finished in tight quarters. MUDRAKER came with a rush. BANNACH LATH closed fast after going wide all the way. GRACE R. and ETERNAL MAID raced themselves into defeat. BLOW TAPS had no speed. IRISH BULLET, having plenty of speed and fencing boldly, went Into an easy-lead in the first mile, withstood a stout effort from SHYLOCK after the twelfth fence without effort and drew out smartly thereafter. SHYLOCK threatened stoutly after a mile and one-half, but was hold perfectly safe. OUTLAW fenced well, but was never a forward factor. JACK ANTHONY was unable to reach the leaders at any stage. REVELATION lost his rider at the tenth fence after being outrun. SPRINGDALE ROSE, taken back off the pace, fell at the eighth fence. Scratched 76164 JLuckite, 150. FLYING MAX, securing racing room on the inside when reaching the back stretch, went into contention, came through on the inside of SPINACH when midway of the final turn, drew clear, but was under pressure at the end to withstand DRASTIC DELIGHT. The latter dropped far out of early contention, gained stoutly in the final half mile and finished with a rush while taking a wide course. SPINACH rushed "up on the inside to gain command and began tiring when leaving the back stretch. FRESHET was in the softest footing next to the inside rail during the stretch turn. THE PELICAN, breaking quickly and vigorously urged to assume command, opened up a winning lead rounding the turn after shaking off JACOBS LADDER came out into, the middle of the stretch and just lasted to stall off WISE ANNE. The latter, kept out in tho firmer footing when racing forwardly placed, responded stoutly and was wearing the winner down at every stride approaching the finish. NOSE IN, securing racing room along the inner rail, finished with a stout effort in the final drive. WAR STRIPES, slow to get going, weaved his way into contention and closed strong. SNAPLOCK was outrun until the final eighth. LIQUEUR had early speed. HOPE TO DO quit badlv. as did JACOBS LADDER. JACK HIGH, stoutly ridden and in the firmer footing, outstayed SUPREME SWEET. The latter had much early speed, saved ground, but tired when challenged.
