A yearling brother to Mad Pursuit, owned O. F. Woodward, broke a leg at Belmont Park Friday and was destroyed. Trainer Robertson said he was his best. The colt, a chestnut, was by Mad Hatter- Toddle. Trainer W. A. .Crawford stated that Blind Bowboy, the recent claim of the Pinetree Farm, would be named for the different Miami events, Five yearlings, which are at Saratoga, will be brought here next month and placed in training for the winter season. Lee Rosenberg stated that Kerry Patch would be reserved for the Pimlico Futurity. The colt will be pointed for that race by; trainer Notter. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Taylor left for Ran-cocas Farm, Jobstown, N. X, and will later leave for Kentucky. The B. B. Stable has taken a call on the services of the apprentice Lewis Berniua for the remainder of the season. Mrs. J. M. Austin, owner of the Catawba Farm, has taken over the lease on the stable owned by the late James Gaffney at Bet-mont Park. Trainer James Fitzsimmons stated that the reason Dark Amber bled in his last race was due to the fact that he bit his tongue while at the barrier.
