1 FAIRMOUNT TURF NOTES ! t i Exhibitors and executives of the Greater St. Louis Industrial Exposition, in progress at the Mart Building, St. Louis, will be the guests of the Fairmount Jockey Club Wednesday. The fifth and best race of the program is named in honor of the Exposi tion, and W. A. McCurry, manager, will present a floral horseshoe to the owner of the winner. A special feature next Saturday will be. the Billiken Purse, named in honor of the St. Louis University football team. Coach Charles F. Walsh will view the race from the stewards stand and will make a presentation to the owner of the winner. An X-ray examination of apprentice W. Balzarettis right hip, inured when he fell from Wega in the fourth race Monday, disclosed no fracture. The hip was badly twisted, and the lad probably will be inactive for the remainder of the meeting. L. A. Oster was an arrival from Toledo, Ohio, and will remain until the close of thq meeting.
