I b 1 t 1 V I M r j 2 WOMEN TRAINERS BARRED Special Correspondence. MELBOURNE, Australia. The Victoria Racing Club has issued a new ruling that bars women as authorized trainers of horses. All owner-trainers will be required to hold -training permits. In the past owner-trainers have been allowed to train without a license. The Victoria Jockey Club members were unanimous in their opinion that training is not a womans sphere. The ability of some women trainers is not questioned. Among the many women trainers who will automatically be disqualified by the ruling are Miss Dorothy Sheil, who trained the Grand National Steeplechase winner Precocious, and Mrs. F. Chapman, owner-trainer of Acceleration, winner of the Australian Steeplechase. ,
