| SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES j Frank M. Otis, patrol judge at most of the Chicago tracks, was an arrival from New Orleans. Otis will act in his usual capacity at Washington Park. Racing secretary P. C. Galliger has booked a six and one-half furlongs handicap for Thursday for Illinois owners. Among the horses already entered are Well Behaved, Volta Maid, Commuter, Martie Flynn, Sun Worship, Howtiz, Very Well, Cardinal Jack, Portmanteau and Semester. Dr. J. M. Kaiser, secretary of the Illinois Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will present a trophy to the winning owner. Jockey R. Montgomery had his first mount since Maximum fell with him at Aurora more than a week ago. Ed McCuan plans shipping to Riverside Park shortly after the Washington Park meeting gets under way. Gordon Morrow, custodian of the jockey room at Sportsmans Park, received word from H. D. Munroe, racing secretary at Rockingham Park, Salem, N. H., to report there and look after the room for that meeting of twenty-eight days, which will be inaugurated June 21. With the track drying out rapidly, the largest entry sheet of the meeting was released Tuesday for the Wednesday card of eight races. Ray Arnold, the apprentice under contract to J. D. Mikel, had his first mount of the meetinj; on Lamp Black in the Homewood Handicap. The rider hails from Keosauqua, Iowa. V
