f SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES 1 $ — ♦ F. OLeary took out a trainers license. Frank Carra, one of Harry Morrissey*s assistants, is schooling every morning at Washington Park. Carra is also attached to the ground crew of starter Tom Brown at Sportsmans Park. The six and one-half furlongs handicap to be run Thursday for bona fide Illinois owners and under the direction of J. M. Kaiser, secretary of the Illinois Thoroughbred Horse Owners and Breeders Association, drew the following entries: Martie Flynn, Pigeon Hole, Well Heeled, Grand Prince, Anna Adelia, Cardinal Jack, Sobieha, Flag Bearer, Batty, King Pin, Portmanteau, High Pockets, Longus, Lamp Black, Hoops, Howtiz and Commuter. All the owners have agreed to contribute 5 per cent of the purse to the Illinois Thoroughbred Horse Owners and breeders Association.
