HEARING ON FLORIDA BILL TALLAHASSEE, Fla., May 16.— A publio hearing on the house committee substitute racing bill to abolish split season and concurrent racing dates is set for tomorrow by the house committee on public amusements. This substitute bill, which was slated to be placed on the calendar last Saturday, was held up by the chairman of the committee, R. P. Lewis of Palm Beach, to allow track representatives from Dade and Clay county courses to file protests. Members of the house committee said to* day it was their understanding that Joseph E. Widener, Miami Jockey Club chairman, would be present at tomorrows hearing, but they had no direct notice from him. . — «
