AURORA TURF NOTES ] ,, $ The Berman Stable has acquired the contract on jockey Jimmy Ketry. G. H. Morton, who held the papers prior to Monday, disposed of them at private terms. Barney Berman will book Ketrys engagements. Racing secretary R. A. Leigh will leave Wednesday night for Bainbridge, where he will open the office of that track and supervise the details prior to the opening Saturday. Jockey Tommy Roderick is an arrival from Maryland and filed his application for a license. J. D. Mikel plans to send about ten head of his extensive stable to Bainbridge in charge of Ralph Dority. C. Lemons will send the three horses he is racing here in the same consignment. Jockey T. P. Martin made the trip to Sportsmans Park to ride Pollys Folly in Tuesdays feature race. Martin will return to ride at Exposition Park Wednesday. Apprentice Loney Hendricks, who was set down for rough riding in Thursdays last race when astride Flying Giblon, resumed riding Tuesday. The judges relented and modified his suspension to three days instead of the remainer of the meeting. Jewell Bros, sent their horses to Bainbridge Monday night. They made the trip by van. J. D. Meeker departed Tuesday for Bainbridge Park, Cleveland, where he will have the book of apprentice D. Broic. Apprentices Monte Parke, Loney Hendricks, C. McTague and jockeys Jimmy McCoy, T. P. Martin, C. Hooper, Walter Magner and A. "Tex" Anderson contributed their talents to the show which was staged for the benefit of veterans of the World War, and which was held at Hines Veterans Hospital at Maywood. Andersons singing and Magners dancing were features offered by the jockeys. Jerry Gliddens Log Cabin Orchestra furnished the music. Bert Pomeroy, Frank Grand, Octave Viau, W. M. Cain and J. Bronnenberg will load five carloads of horses which will get away for Bainbridge Saturday night.
