FIELD FOR KENTUCKY OAKS Small, but Classy Band of Three-Year-Old Fillies Named for Churchill Downs Closing Feature. LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 19.— The spring meeting of Churchill Downs, Inc., comes to a close tomorrow with the running of the time honored Kentucky Oaks for three-year-old fillies and a good supporting card. Six, of which five are certain to start, were named this morning for the fifty-nine year old *take and the race will be over the long route of one and one-eighth miles. Barn Swallow, Col. E. R. Bradleys brilliant young filly heads the field, and is expected to rule a strong favorite. At Top, owned by P. A. Nash and R. J. Nash; Technique, property of H. P. Headley; Sam Fursts Bright Bubble, A. A. Baronis Bamboula and Mrs. W. Crumps Baggage Miss complete the field and the former four have handsomely qualified to test the speed and the stamina of the queenly Idle Hour Stock Farm representative. Baggage Miss is not expected to face the starter unless the track is muddy. This will mark Barn Swallows first stake engagement and second race of the year. In her only start she won easily from a fast field and at a sprint distance here ten days ago. At Top, winner of the Jefferson Derby and Bright Bubble, which took the Ashland Purse at Lexington for her maiden victory, demonstrated that they are in superb condition when they performed so smartly in the Orchard Purse here Tuesday. Bamboula and Technique also have raced well here. The field for the Oaks follows: PP. Horse Wt. Jockey 1— Baggage Miss 116 L. McDermott 2— Bamboula 116 W. D. Wright 3— At Top 116 R. Finnerty 4— Bright Bubble 116 W. Curran 5— Technique 116 C. Corbett 6 — Barn Swallow 116 D. Meade
