w DEMAND FOR RACE HORSES LEXINGTON, Ky., May 18.— A wire from W. T. Waggoner of Fort Worth to Col. Phil T. Chinn here today, brings information that the racing bill which yesterday passed the Texas house of representatives at Austin passed the senate today nineteen to nine and the expectation is that the measure will receive Governor Fergusons approval. Colonel Chinn has previously been asked by parties in Texas to supply them with a large number of horses in the event of the passage of the bill. He is now busy lining up horses to supply the Texas demand if and when the bill is approved. Colonel Chinn .said today that he is also finding a demand coming from California for horses. The expectations out there are that the people at the polls on June 27 will approve the constitutional amendment permitting pari-mutuel pooling on horse races at the courses.
