CANADIAN TURF NOTES t # 1 C. N. Mooney arrived back from Sportsmans Park. He reports that Sam Pass, Bushman, Thistle Coot and Zion, which Sam Hesseltine is handling for him, will be shipped to Thorncliffe on Monday. It is the intention to convert Zion into a steeplechaser. True Sentiment, Koenigsmark II. and a juvenile comprise the stable that George Foley will campaign in Canada this season. Jim Mackey, in charge of the jockeys room on the Canadian Racing Associations" tracks last season, was an arrival from Hamilton. The riding fees in jumping races at Woodbine will be in purses not exceeding ,000, 0 for a winning mount and 5 for a losing mount; in purses over ,000, 0 for a winning mount and 5 for a losing mount; in races that carry a value of ,500 or more the fees will be 5 and 5. Roy Waldrons string at Thorncliffe is made up of the following: Magyar, Flighty Anna, Cagey and Free, which will carry the silks of Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin; Guard Rail and Spook, a pair that will sport the red and white striped silks of Joseph E. Widener, and Gold Dollar, which will race for J. Wal-dron. Lloyd Gentry will campaign a stable of eleven on the Canadian circuit this season. They are Try At and Try It, owned by J. C. Milam. Just Fun, Landmark and Charlie J., will race under his own colors, and Pen-sweep, Easter Hatter, Partisan, Meany, Sweepstaff and Rose Path will carry the light and dark blue of H. C. Hatch. Jockeys G. Riley and E. McLaughlin will look after the saddle duties of the stable. a
