The good filly Jessie Dear, which picked up a nail a week ago, breezed a mile in 1:43 Friday morning. Jessie Dear and five others will be shipped to Washington Park by F. C. McAtee Monday. Volwood was reported none the worse for having indulged in a short runaway after breaking out of his stall Thursday and he is named for one of the closing day races. A number of the George Collins horses have been shipped to Collins Thistleton Farm, where they will be "freshened up" for the Latonia meeting. On advices from Riverside Park track officials, Walter S. Carr instructed a number of horsemen to delay shipping their horses to that track until Tuesday of next week. Lewis will take over Betty Farrell, Booby Bird and Binding Time, recently purchased from E. R. Bradley by Roscoe Goose.
