, , . MOUNT ROYAL OPENS TODAY MONTREAL, Que., May 19— Racing comes back to Montreal Saturday under entirely new auspices, opening a season of ten weeks on tracks of the city and district. Mount Royal will inaugurate the regime of the Quebec Racing Association, constituting the strongest body that has ever had control of Montreal and district racing. It will mark the first occasion in history that all the race tracks have been under one general administration, and it is believed that this plan, providing as it does, a new era in the allotment of dates and general administration of racing affairs, is a really constructive contribution to the betterment of conditions here. Julius Reeder will be the presiding steward of the whole circuit, including Ottawa and in inaugurating himself in office for the Mount Royal meeting made an interesting move by eliminating riders agents. He posted an announcement Friday that a representative of the club would accept all jockey engagements and that no jockey agents would be recognized. «
