I AURORA TURF NOTES "1 I 5 Former jockey Johnny Parmalee, trainer of Col. Hatfield, arrived this morning from Kentucky. Jockey Carl Meyer will ride Col. Hatfield in the Illinois Derby at Aurora Saturday. Gov. Henry Horner sent a message to general manager Robert S. Eddy expressing his regret in not being able to attend the running of the Illinois Derby Saturday. Emmet H. Daugherty, who managed the Hamilton, Ohio, dog track when that enter- prise was a success, was a visitor, and is trying to obtain horses for his running horse meeting at Hamilton, which will embrace seventeen days and is scheduled to open June 3. Judges Goodlow, McDowell and Andrew G. Leonard have been engaged to officiate.
