1 WOODBINE TURF NOTES ] $ — ■ — and W. W. Ferguson, acting for the Thoroughbred Breeders Association of Canada, has good news for horsemen racing in Canada. Through the Canadian National Railway, he has succeeded in having the price on a twelve-horse car reduced to 00. The former" charge was 32 and 5 switching charges. There is no switching charge now, the 00 taking care of everything. This rate is from Toronto to Hamilton and Hamilton to Fort Erie. Jockey J. Mann arrived from New York and will pilot Papalico in the Kings Plate. Stephanus, Oil Pool and Troy Maid, that formerly raced for the Windsor sportsman Myron Gilbert, have been turned over to Oliver Lee. He will do his own training. Jockey J. Pollard was an arrival from Tanforan and has joined the stable of Donley and Dutton that W. R. McGirr has at Thorncliffe. J. D. Mooney, well known former rider, has been appointed authorized agent for the Fairfields Stable of Mrs. Willis Sharps Kilmer. Jack Whyte is the trainer of this establishment. Luigi Romanelli, well known orchestra leader and radio artist, has joined the owner ranks and will race under the nom de course of the Markham Stable. He has registered his silks as red and silver stripes. Jockey C. Hanauer is one of the latest additions to the riding colony. He is attached to the stable that F. Seremba is training. Trainers of horses that have never started are notified to bring registration certificates to the paddock with their horses, or to bring them to the paddock judge prior to the first race.
