1 SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES 1 k Presiding judge S. C. Nuckols plans on remaining here for a few weeks to take in the Century of Progress Fair before departing for his home at Versailles, Ky., while his associate, J. J. Graddy, will take in part of the meeting at Washington Park before returning to Lexington. Fred Digby, the third steward at the meeting, returns to his desk as sporting editor of the New Orleans Item. Digby will probably return to Chicago the middle of June with the Louisiana State University track team. Due to the nine-race program carded for today, the post time for the first race will be 2 oclock. H. S. Bengston wired H. C. Rumage to notify all horsemen racing here not to ship to Riverside Park until Tuesday. According to Bengstons message, a severe storm at the Kansas City track caused some damage Thursday night and the stables will not be ready for occupancy until Tuesday. Jockey C. Critchfield will ride free lance at Washington Park. The riders best weight is 103 pounds. C. E. Davison, who has eighteen horses here, will move his large stable to Lincoln Fields Sunday. . C. Callahan, under contract to H. S. Hart, trainer of the Le Mar Stock Farm Stable, had his first mount of the meeting on Mar-van in the fifth race. E. T. Moore, who has been riding well here, leaves for Bainbridge Park Saturday night. He will ride free lance. Odie Clelland, trainer of the large J. C. Ellis string, intends shipping early next week the eleven head he has here to Riverside Park. Wheeler G. developed a high fever after scratch time today and on the report of Dr. M. Kaiser the horse was excused by the stewards. According to jockey W. Fronk, H. P. Head-ley will send eleven horses up from Kentucky to Washington Park. A division of the stable will be selected for racing at Riverside Park, which D. A. Headley will command. Jockey J. McLaren was suspended for ten days for rough riding in the third race Friday. A
