MOUNT ROYALS RECORD CROWD MONTREAL, Que., May 24. All-time racing attendance records in Montreal were shattered Wednesday afternoon as a holiday crowd in excess pf 11,000 jammed into Mount Royal race track for the afternoons card. On Saturday the track set a mark of 9,000, but this was exceeded even before the first race started Wednesday. The grandstand was packed, the big lawns were so jammed . that it was difficult to move and outside a . steady stream of cars slowly worked their., way to the course. In the face of threatening weather the attendance was nothing short of phe-l nomenal.
