1 BOWIE TURF NOTES Racing secretary Joseph McLennan will announce the weights for the Decoration Day Handicap on Saturday. The stable of Mrs. Wm. Jeffords was loaded and left Pimlico for Belmont Park on Wednesday. The three-year-old Swivel, which fell a victim to the coughing epidemic at Havre de Grace and was forced to cancel her engagements in the Derby and Preakness, is now back in training and her first appearance under colors will be made in the Coaching Club Oaks, to be decided at Belmont Park on June 9. The filly will later meet her engagements at Arlington Park and other courses. Schooling classes will be conducted daily from 8 to 10 by starter Edward Welters crew at Hagerstown beginning Wednesday, May 31. All two-year-olds racing at the meeting will have to be okayed by the starter before they will be allowed to start.
