ILLINOIS OWNERS RACE HOMEWOOD, ILL., May 24. The second race on Thursdays Washington Park program is for horses, the property of bona fide residents of the state of Illinois. It is the first race exclusively for Illinois-owned horses during the meeting and one such race will be given weekly. The owners of the winners of these races will donate five per cent of the first money to the Illinois Thoroughbred Horse Owners and Breeders Association. Some of the stables represented in Thursdays race are Shandon Farm, Albert Sabath, P. H. Krick, Ben Rosenheim, J. J. Coughlin, Superior Stable and others, seventeen in all being entered.
