CAPSHEAF, shuffled back going lo the first turn and forced to go to the outside for racing room, reached the leaders stoutly and, wearing down BALLY BAY when midway of the final, turn, drew out into an easy lead during the last quarter mile. STANDOUT, prominent from the beginning, was unable to keep pace when put to a drive. SWINHAVEN, allowed to drop far out of early contention, came through on the inside entering the stretch and closed gamely. MY COUNSELLOR made a strong effort entering the stretch, but weakened approaching the finish. HUT finished full of run. BALLY BAY quit badly after seven-eighths ILCHESTER quit.
