MAD EAGLE, quick to get going, took a good lead early and, shaking off INDIANOLE, drew away handily near the end. YAP, forced to race on the outside all the way, closed gamely. SOURCE CIRCLE was well placed and continued gamely. INDIANOLE showed good speed to reach the leader midway of the turn, then swerved badly and crowded MARGE into the fence. IN CLOVER met interference. THIS PLAY was outrun. MARGE was badly blocked and knocked off her stride at the last eighth post and was eased up. LIBERTY OAK, pinched back leaving the back stretch, worked her way up and held on gamely. PEEDEEQUE, shuffled back early, closed fast. JUNIORITY showed speed for half a mile. SWINHAVEN, allowed to drop far out of early contention, came through on. the inside entering the stretch and closed gamely. MY COUNSELLOR made a strong effort entering the stretch, but weakened approaching the finish. HUT finished full of run. BALLY BAY quit badly after seven-eighths,! ILCHESTER quit. IMA QUEEN, blocked midway of the back stretch, recovered quickly to holda forward position, swung to the outside of WISE MONEY when reaching the stretch, wore the latter down, but had to be strongly ridden to stall off CALGARY KAY. The latter, going in improved form, worked his way up on the outside and finished wearing the winner down at every stride. WISE MONEY was rushed vigorously to displace LITTLE WING and had little speed left when forced to a drive. FAIR SUN finished gamely on the outside at the end. JIMMY D. came stoutly from a slow beginning. SOUPCON and CLEAR KNIGHT had a rough trip in the first half mile. WATER LAD refused to start.
