; BOWIES HOLIDAY FEATURE Tred Avon and Other Stars to Meet in Decoration Day Handicap at One Mile and a Sixteenth. BOWIE, Md., May 29. The Decoration Day Handicap, with ,000 added, for thee-year olds and upward, at one mile and a sixteenth, is the splendid holiday attraction at Prince Georges Park tomorrow. Fourteen were named for this stake feature, with the good mare Tred Avon the top weight and probable favorite. She is in fine fettle, having been trained to the minute for her match race with Top Flight, which had to be called off because of the lameness of the Whitney filly. Tred Avon will encounter stern opposition in tomorrows race, with such as Larranaga, Osculator, Curacao, Springsteel, Halcyon and other good ones among the overnight acceptances.
