RIVERSIDE PATRONAGE GOOD Over 5,000 People See Mondays Card Decided Spirited Sport Provided. KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 29. A series of claiming races was Mondays offering at Riverside Park and, while the entire card was turned over to the cheaper sort that are quartered here, the sport was good, with the majority of races closely contested and the finishes very close. While the weather was extremely hot, the heat was tempered somewhat by a nice breeze that swept through the grounds from the South. The track was still somewhat on the slow side due to the heavy rains that again visited this vicinity Saturday night and Sunday. The attendance, while considerably smaller than the record breaking crowd of Saturday, was nevertheless large for a Monday gathering, over 5,000 being on the grounds when the horses paraded to the post for the initial event. Maiden three-year-olds and over furnished che contention in the initial event, which was over the Futurity course. Taking the lead from the start, Mrs. E. S. Kohlers Kavalry Jack made every post a winning one, but at the end was doing his best to stand off the determined challenge of Pris-onet, which had raced in closest pursuit all the way. Three lengths back of Prisonet came the favorite, Grantor.
