THOMAS CURRAN MEMORIAL Twelve Two-Year-Olds Named to Start in Todays Big Attraction at Washington Park. HOMEWOOD, 111., May 29 Twelve two-year-old colts and geldings are named for the renewal of the Thomas Curran Memorial Stakes, the important feature on tomorrows Memorial Day program at Washington Park. Included among them are several highly regarded ones, and they represent a number of the larger western stables. The distance is five and one-half furlongs and it will mark the first time that horses of this age have been asked to race that far in the West this season. Good judges believe that the field is the most closely matched in the record of the race, and that the contest will rival any during the meeting. Jack Howards Speedy Skippy, J. W. Par-rishs New Deal and Stuyyesant Peabodys Technocracy are among the stronger candidates. The Audley Farm will be represented by Cloud DOr and Le Miserable, while the Calumet Farm Stable named Hermie Roy and Sir Ten. Others entered are C. C. Van Meters Cotton Club, Mrs. W. Crumps Rego, H. P. Headleys Thomasville, M. Goldblatts Gilbert Elston and A. B. Gallahers Swift-sport. Seven other races are on the holiday card and, with Ihe outlook for continued fair weather, the sport will be held under fine conditions. Special preparations for" the care of a capacity crowd have been made, and reservations for the day indicate a great turnout of notables for the occasion.
