I BELMONT PARK NOTES I $ The Catawba Stables Mr. Khayyam will be shipped to Chicago on Tuesday, to start in the American Derby. Pete Walls will ride the colt. James F. "Quincy" Johnson is recuperating from an attack of illness. Bob Smith hobbled about the paddock on crutches. Doctor F. W. Ashe of the Havana-American Jockey Club was a first time visitor and will leave for Chicago later. Charles "Trainer" Hughes was among the arrivals and will remain for the Belmont Park meeting. A. J. Joyner arrived from Erdenheim Farm and stated that he has nineteen yearlings stabled here. Jockey H. Bagur suffered four broken bones in his foot according to an x-ray examination at the Jamaica hospital. Post positions will be on the program for all races except stake races at Belmont, which will be drawn forty-f ive " minutes before the race. T. W. Shaw and J. McCleary were fined 5 each by order of the starter.
