HIS FIRST IN STATES CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 29. Jockey ! George Pruchnicki, young Cleveland jockey, -won for the first time in the United States when he booted Mast Lady home at Bain-bridge Park recently at the long odds of 30 to 1. George was the winner of several races this winter at Havana, but this was his introduction to the winners circle in the I United States. Pruchnicki and George Miller, another of the younger apprentices, are two of the most promising riders seen on the Ohio circuit since the days of H. R Riley, leading American rider of 1930; Both are under contract, Pruchnicki to Lee Cloua and Miller to J. C. Ellis.
