WINGFIELD SYRACUSE STARTER COLLINSVILLE 111 June 19 G R Buddy Wingfield one of the most popular as well as capable starters on the turf has received notice of his appointment as starter at the Syracuse N Y meeting following the current Fairmount Park campaign Wingfield will leave here July 2 two days before the opening of the Syracuse meeting and close of the local meeting and will start the fields there throughout the tenday cam ¬ paign Pinch hitting for him here the last couple of days will be Bill Snyder who has had much experience as a starter working under A B Dade and pulling the latch for four Kentucky Derbys Snyder is now serv ¬ ing as patrol judge Many of the leading stables on the grounds plan to compete at the Syracuse meeting
