The two handicap stars— Wheatley Stables Dark Secret and Belair Studs Faireno— are expected to arrive at Rockingham Park Wednesday to join Slapdash. Fleam and a juvenile already are quartered here in charge of trainer Thomas Driscoll. The Wood F. Axtons string arrived at Rockingham Park after an uneventful trip from Latonia. Jockey S. Vail accompanied the shipment and will swing into action shortly. Vail can do 102 pounds. Augie Hutchins is sending Law Suit, Kowtow and Nervy Nella back to his employers farm in Maryland. He is preparing to receive the jumper Luckite, which will be made ready at Rockingham for the steeplechase events at Saratoga. Attention of horsemen was called to the fact that the White Mountain Handicap, at six furlongs, carrying a value of ,500 added, to be run Wednesday, July 18, closes on Wednesday, July 11. F. A. Carreaud telephoned from Saratoga that he is vanning five head over from the Spa. He has nominated Sea Fox, Time Supply and De Valera in all of the remaining stakes to be run here.
