CARMANCHITA forced the pace under light urging and, wearing down PIPING HOT, drew away. The latter, hustled into the lead at once, set a good pace and failed to hold the winner. MARS PALATINE moved up under urging and held on well. IMPERIAL BLONDY improved her position gradually and outlasted MAPLE RICCA. The latter showed good form. FRENCH SERVANT quit.
