T~ DETROIT TURF NOTES ] * ; § Jockey Johnny Mattioli was receiving congratulations Tuesday over being the father of a seven and one-half pound boy, born at Providence Hospital. Mother and son were reported Tuesday morning as doing well. The horses Lon Jones brought from La-1 tonia are Cross Ruff, Precious Betty and I Gain. The consistent Oderic headed the two-horse stable, which included Smuggled In, unloaded by F. F. Brant. Mint Baby, Final Fling, Forget Not and Waltz King comprised the E. Eslick stable that came from the same point. Jake Kovinsky, who claimed Sun Lure, turned the juvenile over to Sol Rutchick to train. F. A. Kelly checked in from Latonia with Ramus and Balthasas, and William Hinphy unloaded Tadcaster, Little Joyce and Light Mint. • Jockeys C. Meyer and G. Seabo arrived from Latonia.
